A graduate of the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Polyakov became owner of Star Smiles in 2003. Originally, from Russia, Dr. Polyakov is married with two children.
Every day, I see the difference cosmetic dentistry can make in people’s lives -- whether it’s an executive growing more confident as a leader or just someone who feels good smiling around other people for the first time. It’s easy to be passionate about dentistry when the results mean so much to others. I especially like helping people who have avoided the dentist because of fear – showing them that dental treatment can be a pain-free experience.
This is such a great time to be a practicing dentist. The advances in materials and techniques make it possible to rehabilitate virtually every dental problem you can think of. For example, dental implants make it possible to permanently replace missing teeth and eliminate the discomfort associated with removable dentures.
It is my hope that by dedicating my practice to the care of the apprehensive dental patient, I can help patients who have never before been comfortable in the dental chair. I can help patients gain the ease and confidence to achieve not only complete dental health, but beautiful smiles as well.
